5 Curvy Style Icons For Fashion Inspiration

Curvy is the new black. And like black, curves will also never go out of fashion (yayy).  And going through fashion magazines & the internet, I realised  that curvy fashion and the curvy style icons are not celebrated  enough. Fashion used to seem exclusive to ladies between sizes 0 and 2 and still is (on the ramps).  But thankfully REAL women with real bodies are emerging on the fashion scene. These plus sized ladies are changing the way we look at things. So here I’m with some of the most recognised stylish, plus-size women that we can look up to & take a leaf out of their style books.

Ashley Graham:

When it comes to dressing for curvy body, then Ashley Graham has changed the way the world looked at plus size women. She has single-handedly changed the way that with fashion world looked at curvy women. She dresses to highlight her assets and what makes her a winner is the confidence she exudes about her body. From designers who shied away from dressing her for the red carpet to now, when they are clambering for her to be their ambassador – she has certainly come a long way. She certainly  gets an A`+ for body-confidence

Adele:

Adele’s style is very ladylike and elegant. She always looks perfectly dolled up, be it on the red carpet, in one of her concerts or just down the street doing her everyday errands. She just has that very posh look about her that makes you want to copy her style right then and there and I think one of her secrets to looking this glam all the time is her mastery of the LBD. What do you think?

Christina Hendricks:

Christina Hendricks sure knows how to dress her curves. The Mad Men actress has always been known to be one of the best dressed plus size celebs in Hollywood and she just keeps looking better every day. Her fiery red locks just go so well with her retro vintage-y style. She loves her curves and is proud of them…and it shows in her body language.

Khloe Kardashian:

Khloe always looks smart and on-point and I personally think she’s one of the better dressed sisters in the Kardashian brood. She knows fully well how to embrace her curves and dress them up with high fashion looks that we can only dream of. I love how she knows which looks work for her and which ones don’t. We have yet to see Khloe be a victim of the trends.

Jill Scott:

Scott burst onto the scene with her honey-voiced soul in 2000. Her Who Is Jill Scott? Words and Sounds Vol 1. went platinum and earned her three Grammy nominations.  She is as well-known for her style evolution over the years as she is for her music. See for yourself.

Queen Latifah:

Truly a Queen- the ways she carries herself , her talent & her confidence!  She looks amazing in all of her appearances.  She is truly a style icon for plus size women.

Stay stylish folks

What you wear is how you present yourself to the world, especially today, when human contacts are so quick. Fashion is instant language. I firmly believe that with the right footwear one can rule the world. You can have anything you want in life if you dress for it. I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.
